Registered Dietitian - Adolescents & Adults
Hi, I am Amy DePratt and I am a dedicated registered dietitian who has been helping individuals heal their relationship with food for over 19 years. Working with the eating disorder community has given me exceptional skills to connect with patients and families struggling with their relationships with food.
My passion to enter the field of nutrition came early through personal experience. A close family member struggled with an eating disorder, allowing me to see and encounter these struggles firsthand. Therefore, I can identify on all levels of impact, which makes it possible for me to better provide support in every way.
I have worked for many years within the behavioral health hospital system providing nutrition counseling in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient care settings. I enjoy working with all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
Amy's Approach
As a registered dietitian, I believe in the power of food and the profound impact it has on our health and well-being physically, emotionally, and socially. My approach is rooted in the following principles: Balance, Individuality, Mindful Eating, Sustainable Habits, Education and Empowerment, Joyful Nourishment and Body Acceptance.
Together, these principles guide my practice as I support clients in achieving their health goals and cultivating a positive, nourishing relationship with food.
