Eating Disorder Dietitian - Adolescents & Adults

I developed a passion for helping individuals struggling with eating disorders when I started my career at a residential treatment center, where I worked for several years both as a diet tech and dietitian. As a diet tech I was mentored by many amazing HEAS (health at every size) dietitian, and I brought that philosophy to my own work as a dietitian where I primarily provided care for adolescents and young adults – with a particular focus on Youth in Care and on individuals struggling with substance abuse and trauma. I’m excited to bring my experience to an outpatient setting and to offer support to individuals in their day to day life as they establish food freedom.

Lauren's Approach

I believe in a patient-focused approach, where the patient controls their recovery and their dietitian provides gentle and supportive guidance. My goal is to offer patients a view of wellness that encompasses social, mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects. I love to laugh with my patients and embrace their wins, and I always have empathy for their struggles. My goal is to combat diet culture and create a path towards food and body freedom using a HEAS and an all-foods-fit approach. I’m enthusiastic to be a part of your recovery journey!

About Lauren Grow

When not in the office, I will most likely be walking near the shores of Lake Michigan or snuggling with my two fur babies (cats), Sasha and Zoey. I love plants and gardening; my wonderful husband believes I’m trying to turn our home into a jungle. I’m also passionate about cooking, running, traveling, and coaching gymnastics.
